Kerrie McInnes Clinical Pilates Instructor Brisbane headshot 250x260Kerrie's journey into Pilates began in 2011 when a trip to Nepal led her to Pilates to help with shoulder strengthening and overall body conditioning. From here it was only a matter of time before Kerrie started  studying a Certificate in Pilates Movement.

Everything came together and after an extensive and rewarding career in the Victorian Public Service, in 2013 Kerrie decided to follow her passion for helping people achieve health benefits and lifestyle change.  Kerrie's passion for learning saw her complete a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science, the Diploma in Pilates Movement and study a Masters in Clinical Exercise Physiology (one more subject to go).

Kerrie owns a Pilates Studio in Melbourne and relocated to The Gap from the southern state in January 2021. She enjoys spending time bushwalking, a great brunch and playing with her grandchildren.

Kerrie uses proven methodologies drawing on both her Pilates and exercise science experience to support clients achieve their health and fitness goals.

Cheniqua Pilates Instructor Brisbane

Cheniqua Wipa

Cheniqua is an accredited clinical Pilates instructor and we are delighted that she has come to work with us on her arrival in Brisbane.

Cheniqua has recently relocated from Sydney where she originally did her Pilates diploma training. She previously had a career in music copyright helping songwriters get paid accurately for their music. Departing the corporate world to becoming a Pilates Instructor, she has loved the journey of embarking on the highly rewarding path of helping people move and feel better.

She resonates strongly with this holistic system of exercise that rehabilitates and aims to enable each and every one of us to carry out our daily tasks with minimal effort and injury for as long as possible. Knowing that Pilates achieves this by exploring multidimensional ranges of movement, promoting good posture, mental clarity, and improve breathing, she continues to practice Pilates and reap its benefits.

Duncan Hill

duncan clinical Pilates Instructor headshot 250x230Duncan's journey into Pilates Instructing comes after a decade of working in the media in both Brisbane and Sydney. Duncan had a varied media career starting off writing music journalism before working for large media institutions, including SBS, Bauer Media, and Thomson Reuters Australia. It was while working now-defunct Bauer Media's Men's Health magazine, writing advertorial articles like "10 ways to get Big Arms for summer" and "Get Beach Body Ready in 6 Easy Steps", was where Duncan was first introduced to the Pilates Method while writing an article about the popularity of Pilates in Sydney. He quickly knew that was where he would focus his career change.

While undertaking the career change into Health, Duncan has started studying for a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. He is looking for a career path where he would be able to use his eye for fine detail and empathetic nature to positively impact patients' rehabilitation from injury and health, creating lasting results. Duncan holistically views movement and fitness and incorporates movement practices including Pilates, weight training, Golf, and meditation into his life.

Duncan values learning and is looking forward to the experience he will gain from being a part of the Physiologix team.
