It is exciting times at Physiologix, as we continually improve and increase our services for you with - MORE MASSAGE HOURS - INCREDIBLE NEW SPORTS AND EXERCISE PHYSIO - PILATES WHICH JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER - TIPS ON SHOULDER PAIN Ilya, one of our highly experienced massage therapists, has increased his hours with more after hours and weekend appointments available - these fill quickly so make sure you book ahead. We welcome Vanessa Alvaro, Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist, to the Team. Vanessa moves to Brisbane from NSW where she has been working as a physiotherapist provider of the NSW Academy of Sports - Vanessa has worked across a number of sporting codes in her career, including rowing, rugby union, cricket, netball and swimming. Most recently she was involved with the Athletics NSW and Gymnastics NSW state representative teams at their National Championships, as well as the Netball NSW academy and development squads. She is also contracted by Rowing Australia to assist with their Underage pathways teams. Vanessa has provided coverage at a number of large multi-sport events including the World University Games, Alice Springs Masters games and Arafura Games. Additionally, she has travelled internationally with the Australian Blind Cricket Team and Australian Men’s Netball Squads. Not only this but she is a running and swim coach, a keen marathon and trail runner, has worked with dance.....and so the list goes in. Safe to say, you are going to be in amazing hands with Vanessa looking after you! Gena is leaving us to take maternity leave with her baby girl due the beginning of July. Both the Physiologix Team and her clients will miss her hugely. Gena, we are so excited for both you and Victor and we cannot wait to meet bubs in person. Enjoy you little bundle when she finally arrives. Gena's last day is the 17th June so make sure you book in if you want to see her specifically before she goes. Duncan has taken on all our evening and Saturday morning Pilates classes - he is in his final year of physio and we have been so lucky to have someone of his training come on board to take these classes. Feedback has been amazing with everyone loving his help as they work through often complex issues. And the Pilates Team never stops, constantly upskilling with regular get togethers and staff training.
